Prayer is not just for an individual — prayer is for everyone.
It is impossible to pray accurately for someone and still have something against him. Even if you have something against him, if you pray for him, you will end up loving him.
I'm for Christ! His Glory. His Kingdom. His way.
Love will always be at the center of a work that prays.
Show me your prayer life, and I will show you your destiny.
Yes, you are a son of God. But a son must have a heart to serve.
Now if we are always falling back on these 'if-it-be-Thy-will prayers' we are debasing this most well known prayer promise of the apostle John, and making it a prayer 'let-out', a useful carpet under which we can sweep all our unanswered prayers. We imply that what he is really saying is this: 'And this is the lack of confidence which we have in Him, that unless we happen to ask according to His will, He will not hear us, and we shall not have our petition.' So the promise that was intended to confirm our faith serves only to cover our unbelief and to confirm us in our state of weakness, in seeking to prevail with God.
The compromise of one generation brings the complacency of the next generation.
While the church is on the earth. We have an opportunity to do it God's way!
Do not settle for what is not the mind of Christ.
Attending church grows old quick. It's already on the inside of you. You bring the supply!
For it is the property of those who expect to obtain mercy by prayer and sacrifices, to cease from and repent of their sins.
But since the adversary does not cease to resist many, and uses many and diverse arts to ensnare them, that he may seduce the faithful from their faith, and that he may prevent the faithless from believing, it seems to me necessary that we also, being armed with the invulnerable doctrines of the faith, do battle against him in behalf of the weak.
History is a test of faith, and the correct response to that test is persistent prayer.
When you pray, you are sending a message forward to a time you will not see.
Lord, I come to you in meditation and prayer. I ask that you never turn from me. Never let me lack communion with you. Let my life be filled with all the beauty that abides in you and let these things guide me. If I have wronged you or your laws in anyway, even in 'thought', please forgive me. You know deep in my heart I want and I try to do good but I fall short. At times, I despise my flesh; I know what I have to do. I want to do it but I choose not to & I'm sorry.
I give you comfort. I give you peace. I give you joy. I give you hope. I give you life.” Jesus kept talking to her. “I give you strength. I give you love. I give you power. I give you Me.” Jennifer started jumping up and down and hugging Jesus.
Praise my all-righteous God. Lord, you are beyond description of what I can put in words. The human language with all its most beautiful, intensified, descriptive words can't express an inch of your amazingness.
O righteous One, never leave my side and never let me forget you, you are my only hope to succeed in this. Give me what I need to fulfill our will. My life without you is incomplete, you are my source of strength and abundance. I trust and acknowledge you. I am your chosen son.
O righteous One, how i hate my flesh. My heart, mind and soul cry out to be one with you but I fall into temptations of my flesh over and over again. I hate myself for it for my flesh dictates my action. At times it torments me because you have given me so much wisdom and understanding but I choose to be sinful as if I have no knowledge of your righteousness. Yahweh, Most High, I'm sorry.
