I think that taxes would be fair if we first get rid of the tax code. This is the ultimate solution, not to just say we're going to trim around the edges, not to say that we will try to simplify a little of this and a little of that. The problem is, replace the tax code, so we can establish tax fairness for everybody.
I think the tax cut is ridiculous but so am I.
I was a liberal Republican growing up in New Jersey. That doesn't exist anymore. If you're a Republican, you have to think that tax cuts for the rich are awesome, torture is awesome, moral war is awesome.
I think it's incumbent upon elected officials to make sure that, if we're going to demand more tax money from people, that we use it in a productive manner and not just say, 'This is what we're going to use it for,' and then they find out that it was used for something else and sometimes something very frivolous.
I might say that in retrospect, looking at where the community college system is today, I think we may have gone too far. The community college system is so big, so broad, so consuming of tax money.
I think we should have basically the same tax policy that Germany, Japan, the U.K., everybody else has, which is a tax rate in the mid-20s and no loopholes. Zero. The U.S. has the most antiquated tax system. And that means some people are going to pay more taxes, and some people are going to pay less.
I think, definitely, this country needs a lower corporate tax rate and tax reform so that we can get our profits that we've made overseas back into the country without heavy penalties. And if that happens, I think that would be very good for the market and all of that.
I think tax reform is the single most important thing we can do in this country to unleash economic energy. It's going to unleash growth.
I think you need to have a tax system that basically is flat, fair and simple. And - that you can put on a post card. I mean, even Timothy Geithner could do this one and get it on time.
A huge part of Apple profits generated in Europe, in African countries, Middle East, and India were all booked in Ireland. And I think it is a very basic principle in taxation that your profits are taxed where the profits are generated.
I think I would rather be a prime minister than a taxi driver.
The GAO just released a report that said 22 percent of federal programs fail to meet their objectives. The truth is we don't know how taxpayer money is spent in Washington, D.C., which is why I think we ought to put every agency budget up on the Internet for everyone to see.
Honestly, I don't really hear the comparisons to Taylor Swift anymore. I think it's because people are finally starting to see me for who I am and my craft and not being the next Taylor.
I think that a president needs to have a variety of views presented. But also, there has to be a team effort, because otherwise, I think it creates a dissonance and difficulty.
A lot of players think the game is all about individual performances when it's really all about a team game.
I think every film is like a team game, especially for me. I have always got films which have a strong cast.
It is tough when you're by yourself, and I think that's why team sport is so appealing.
I think it's huge, especially in team sports, for players to be able to rely on each other and to really trust in each other.
I think team sports probably teach you more about giving - about being unselfish and being flexible.
When I think about dropping team sports and picking up surfing and also then geeking out radio control planes and gadgetry and all that stuff I love, that's what really now has led me in big part to GoPro.
