Time is a variable continuum.
Why do you chop your life into bits and give the bits names? Hours, days. It is like a rabbit. If I kill a rabbit, I eat a rabbit. When you have a rabbit, you chop it up and call it bones and meat and fur and guts. And so you never have enough.
The fact that the world exists in time and not only in space means that the world is not completed, that its creation has not yet reached its crowning consummation, that it continues to be created
Do not despair. We will glimpse another track; we fill find another route. The day that is not this will come. The time that is not this will be.
This is a changing world. It changes from day to day, year to year, and from age to age. Rivers deepen their gorges as they carry more land to the sea. Mountains rise, only to be leveled gradually by winds and rain. Continents rise and sink into the sea. Such are the gradual changes of the physical earth as days add into years and years combine to become ages.
They refused to live in these moments right now. And they got busy in turning everything they come across, into a memory, which they could visit in the future.
You must appreciate that time is always against you. It is never kind or encouraging. It gnaws away invisibly at all good things. Therefore, if you have any desire to accomplish anything, even the simplest task, do it swiftly and with great purpose, or time will drag it away from you.
It is a great disadvantage to spend one’s time worrying about what may go wrong. When things do go wrong, one would think that worry would’ve prepared one in some way. This is not the case. Instead, the senseless disorder of one’s thoughts grows more and more uncontrollable as one rehearses the events that befell, to no good effect since nothing can undo the damage, no amount of muddled thinking can ever result in any other outcome.
The days since then have been a timeless fuzz. I feel time pass but nothing actually seems to happen.
If you want the game, you must stalk it. That is all. You cannot say, To stalk this takes too long, I wish to simply eat. It is all one. The stalking is the beginning of the eating.
