The biggest problem with education is that it focuses entirely on answering questions and not asking them.

As his father saw it, he did not want to learn what was taught. But in fact, he could not learn it. He could not, because there were demands in his soul that were more exacting for him than those imposed by his father and the pedagogue. A person who is only educated by others is an uneducated person; without self-education, you will not be able to get an education in the strict sense of the word.

So it's 2019. I'm gonna say the right thing to do is for the US to declare bankruptcy (Trump can do it… done it before…), and dismantle the criminal state of Israel as it exists today. Unfortunately, politicians are so full of shit and AIPAC money, and the economy is so addicted to war, and the US population is so fucking stupid... that we’ll probably have to go and try to fuck up another two or three countries before moving on to a decent, honest life.

Though these young men unhappily fail to understand that the sacrifice of life is, in many cases, the easiest of all sacrifices, and that to sacrifice, for instance, five or six years of their seething youth to hard and tedious study, if only to multiply tenfold their power of serving the truth and the cause they have set before them as their goal, such a sacrifice is utterly beyond the strength of many of them.

Feed Hansel and Gretel one breadcrumb at a time. Don't present the witch and the oven in one go.

Forcing youthful brains to become early birds will guarantee that they do not catch the worm, if the worm in question is knowledge or good grades.

The human mind is an incredible thing. It can conceive of the magnificence of the heavens and the intricacies of the basic components of matter. Yet for each mind to achieve its full potential, it needs a spark. The spark of enquiry and wonder.

As long as you have life, learn all you can.

Compassion, kindness, empathy, sympathy, mercy, and understanding are six connected values that ‎should be implanted in the young generation, as they are what motivates people to help and stand ‎for each other. A heart that is filled with mercifulness is a heart that will help its society and the whole ‎world to continue, improve, and thrive.‎

Never let schooling interfere with education.

Gift last for few days, guidance last forever.

Never preoccupy your mind constantly on a problem for more than certain period of time. Always find a solution to overcome the challenge and move on.

Find a good teacher, don't betray yourself to succeed and be a better person before being a better actor.

Undistracted by schooling, one studies best during vacations

Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance. Schools: Keep the young public ignorant of real mathematics, real economics, real law, and REAL HISTORY [WC emphasis]. Entertainment: Keep the public entertainment below a sixth-grade level. Work: Keep the public busy, busy, busy, with no time to think; back on the farm with the other animals.

On some intuitive level, I knew that learning had to be more than the mastery of facts. I've experienced it as an adult. I become consumed with a subject like quilting or preparing yogurt cultures, and that topic takes over my life - fabric scraps scattered on the floor, little jars of white sludge cuddled by blankets on my kitchen countertops. When I learned to play guitar in my thirties, no one had to schedule my practices. My guitar lived on a stand in the living room and I tormented our ears multiple times a day until my fingers bled. Passion for learning has that fiery, consuming, can't-stop quality.

Education ... is recognized as a builder of both society and the nation. However, the precondition that it is fit in all respects must have been satisfied.

And the education I can receive from an afternoon with Picasso, or from taking one of my nieces or nephews to the movies, is not at all what the state has in mind when it speaks of Education.
