Failure is the first success.
Most motivational speakers typically use anecdotes rather than statistics to prove their point. They don’t speak about the thousands of failures of millions of hapless men and women but always tell the story of one successful person to prove their point. They make great promises akin to a good salesman out to sell his wares. Many people follow their advice and unfortunately discover that they still are not able to achieve the promised success.
Everything's great 'til something goes wrong.
Observing others is not about copying them, rather it’s an opportunity to learn from them.
Stay Relevant, Keep Learning!
Many adventurers would say that opportunity is something that you find as part of a relentless search, or that it’s something that an imagination unleashed shapes and creates. Without commitment, there can be no lasting success.
People who have acquired academic degrees, without acquiring many economically meaningful skills, not only face personal disappointment and disaffection with society, but also have often become negative factors in the economy and even sources of danger, especially when they lash out at economically successful minorities and ethnically polarize the whole society they live in. . . . . In many places and times, soft-subject students and intellectuals have inflamed hostility, and sometimes violence, against many other successful groups.
We are not noble by birth. We are noble only by virtue of the way we think, speak, and act.
The quality of your habits will determine the quality of your future.
